Countdown to Cuba...

37 days and counting... It's gonna be a rough three weeks, being away from all my family and friends, mainly Molli. It's kind of scary yet really exciting to be going to Cuba. I don't know about you, but I've never been to a communist country, it could be really interesting. And yes, in case you were wondering, it is legal to go to Cuba, as long as you get the right permits, which we have. It is a really tedious task, but can be done. By the way, I'm going with a group from the church to put on a series of evangelistic meetings and we are going under the protection of God, so we'll be fine. I hope that it is a really good experience, and opens my eyes. I've been to Costa Rica, but Cuba is completely different. If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate any prayers you can offer for our group. Thanks so much...

Anyway, the week has been good so far. Went to Molli's house to work on a class project, and had fun doing that. This weekend we are going to Cohutta with Pathfinders, and are gonna be doing some skits. That should be really fun. I hope everyone has a great week, I plan on having one...

PS... its -16C in Finland and lots of snow... just in case you were wondering... :)

It's been a while...

...since I've updated, sorry about that. I know, my life is just soo interesting, you have to know all about it. Yeah, okay, anyway. I've been having a really great week. A lot of stuff has happened since I last wrote, but nothing too major. I went out to eat with Molli's family, that was fun. We went to the ChopHouse last weekend, ate some good food and laughed at her crazy family. Then went to a friends house and watched about 30 minutes of Batman Begins before I had to head home. Today was interesting, I was originally planning on watching the 3-on-3 volleyball tournament at CA, but instead ended up playing 2 matches. It's a long story that I will sum up real fast. I guy subbed for a team that was missing a player, team lost, thought it was single elimination, actually double, they left, sub dude was left alone, so me and a friend subbed in for the other two, creating a team of misfits. We won our first match together, and lost the second, oh well... it was fun, that's what matters. Molli's team did really good, they haven't lost yet and are in the championship game that will be played on Thursday at lunch, fun stuff. Anyway, I'm hoping to get in a good ride this week, it's been unnaturally warm. And I have to look for a job, mine at CA doesn't pay enough, but it is a job for now... Life is really good...

It's been a while since I've been this happy... thanks to an amazing girl... come to think of it, I've never been happier... :) hmmmm...

New Years Revelations

I've had a great week since Christmas. I've been hanging out with Molli a lot lately. It's been really fun. I stayed up for New Years, with my favorite girl, and then got up at 8 on New Years Day for a great trip. I drove to the bike shop, borrowed a $2000 bike and went up to the mountains to ride. It was a nice, early morning ride with about 20 other people. We had a nice 6 mile climb to the top of Chilhowee Mountain, then a nice 8 mile ride back down to the bottom. Singletrack at 35 mph is really fun. The whoop-de-doos are suicidal at that speed. The trail twists and turns and drops, not to mention the mud that is slick as snot, wheels washing out, and more fun danger. That was a great start to the day. Then, I went to Toastymeisters house for a Pathfinder TLT Lock-In. We stayed up all night and watched all six Star Wars movies. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! It was rough. We started watching episodes 4, 5, and 6 first and then watched 1, 2, and 3. Leaving the best for last. Well, the night got worse, Molli got really sick and then Greg and I started feeling queasy ourselves.... ick. It was no fun, and we are just now beginning to recouperate. Tomorrow morning, I'm off to ride Chilhowee again, if I'm not sick. Good times...

It's been a good week, hmmmmmmm... Hope everyone else has a great week too...
